Here are a few good stories from Somers New York.

Muscoot Farm - The Main House at county owned Muscoot Park. A smaller house, built in the 1870'swas moved to its present location in 1898 because of the encroachment of the water of the Croton Reservoir. The portico, sun porch, porte-cochere and rear extension were added in 1924. It was home to the Hopkins family, owners of a large pharmaceutical business in New york City and prominent in the affairs of the town and schools.
